Some of the most asked questions we receive through our social networks are regarding how much money you need to travel to Ibiza, or if Ibiza is an expensive destination. That’s why today we will give you a rough estimate for your budget to travel to the White Island as a backpacker. Although there are more expensive choices, we will focus in the most accessible ones.

In order to estimate the budget we will take into account the key expenses that most travelers have when they travel to Ibiza: accommodation, food, club tickets, transportation… We are about to talk about each one in detail:

Accommodation prices Ibiza: as you already know, staying in a hostel in Ibiza is one of the least expensive choices. If you want to sleep in a shared room in a hostel, you can find prices between 12 and 70 euros a night approximately. When it comes to planning your trip to Ibiza, you should pay attention to the time of the year when you choose to visit, especially if you are on a tight budget, considering that July and August are the months of the year when it is more expensive to travel to Ibiza. If you want to save money, we advise you to visit the island during the low season months (April, May and October).

Ticket prices for some of the most important clubs of Ibiza: you can’t call it a trip to Ibiza if you don’t visit at least one of the most emblematic clubs of the island. And although the city of Ibiza, as well as some of the village of the island offer less expensive leisure choices (including a free entrance), we invite you to spend at least one night in one of these clubs: Pacha, Hi Ibiza, Ushuaia Ibiza… All of them offer unique concepts of entertainment. A ticket price for a party in some of the most important clubs in Ibiza costs around 50 euros on average. A neat trick to obtain the best price is to take advantage during the first hours of the night (when the place is not crowded yet), which are usually cheaper.

Eating out at bars and restaurants in Ibiza: a great choice to save money on your trip to Ibiza is buying food at the super market and cooking at the hostel, or preparing snacks for your picnic at the beach. By doing so you will be able to cover all of your meals for the day with a 5 to 15 euros budget. But if you wish to discover the local cuisine, we invite you to visit some of the typical bars and pubs where you can have tapas for dinner or enjoy a menu of the day for only 15 euros. It is important to find the bars or restaurants where the locals eat, prices are usually higher in touristic areas.

Prices for the public transportation in Ibiza: although the most comfortable choice to move around the island would be to rent a car (even better if you can share it with several people) or a bike, there are less expensive alternatives, like a city bus. The island is quite big and you can’t travel between the villages on foot. These are the prices for some of the most common bus trips in Ibiza:

Ibiza – San Antonio: 1,95€.€.

Ibiza – Santa Eulalia: 1,85€.

Ibiza – Las Salinas Beach: 2€.

Ibiza – Airport: 3,20€.

How much would you spend on average during a day in Ibiza?

Considering all of the expenses we have mentioned in this article (accommodation, food, transportation, touristic activities), we estimate that a backpacker may spend around 60 to 90 euros a day in Ibiza. Although, of course, everything will depend on how you plan your trip. We hope this article will be useful when you are planning your budget for your trip to Ibiza!
