Long time has passed since the 1st Marathon was held in Barcelona, 1980 was the year.
Ramon Oliu a spanish chemist by profession was transfered from his american company to Barcelona. He started runing at the age of 47 in Unitated States and he did New York Marathon.
When he came to Barcelona he realised that no one popular Marathon was held in Barcelona, so then he started to organize it and that was the begining of Zurich Marathon Barcelona.
Since 1980 every year this amazing race has taken place in this wonderful city. Thousands persons has experienced this event. Would you like to join it? Thousands people from everywhere will come to join us…. be part of it!
