Since 1992 Barcelona is suffering a great transformation, it’s becoming a city with a modern design that offers very challenging and amazing spots to skate.
The skating was born in California when bored surfers ,because were not waves, start to skate. The skating fever in Barcelona started when a vídeo was recorded and edited by Anthony Clairvaus, he called it “the best kept secret” . It seems that the architect is a skater and has designed the square for this intention. But in this public space a battle between skaters and police still goes on. Police fine skaters and also takes their skates, now the council is trying to organize some cultural activities including some activities for skaters in order to give them a chance to enjoy his fantastic public square for freestyle skating.
