  1. Perfect weather: after the high temperatures of the summer, October is a relief for those who prefer to avoid the heat. It is very common to enjoy summer weather during the day and a fresher breeze during the nights. A perfect weather to move around the city on foot, on a bike, and of course, on skateboard.
  2. College environment: the classes begin again after the long summer, and Barcelona will be full of young college students eager to have a good time. It is the perfect time of the year to discover the younger side of the city by visiting its parks, bars…
  3. Oktoberfest: beer lovers have a nice excuse to visit Barcelona during this October: the city will be transformed into a little Germany. From October 11 to October 22, Oktoberfest will take place in plaza Unverso, in Fira Barcelona.   4. 48 H Open House Barcelona: This particular event will take place this October for its seventh year in a row.   5. Halloween: although it is not a tradition in Cataluña, it is becoming very common to have costume parties to celebrate the night of the dead. Also, Port Aventura, one of Spain’s best amusement parks is located at less than two hours from Barcelona. They celebrate Halloween during the whole month with many surprises and special activities.
